August 25, 2012; Saturday, 6:30am 5th Annual First Step TOGA TROT 5K presented at Dolce Place: DOLCE-Atlanta-Peachtree Hotel, 201 Aberdeen Pkwy, PTC. This is our big SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER! We need LOTS of runners! We need your help stuffing goodie bags & setting up on raceday. We co-host w/Rotary & split profits. Details: www.togatrot5k.com September 10, 2012; Monday, 6pm Panhellenic Dinner out with other sorority alumnae at La Parilla Mexican restaurant, 222 Newnan Crossing Bypass (Ashley Park), Newnan, 30265. October 21, 2012; Sunday; 4:00 pm Wine Tasting Place: The home of our VP Kathy Harper (Delta Gamma). Bring a bottle of your favorite INEXPENSIVE wine & we’ll learn about some good wines that don’t cost a fortune. Accompaniments (cheeses, bread and fruit) will be provided. There’ll be a door prize drawing – 2 chances for $1 - so bring some spare change! All proceeds go to the scholarship fund. Bring another sorority alumna with you to this fun gathering! November 15, 2012; Thursday, 11:30am Lunch and House Tour We’ll enjoy lunch off the menu at Maguire’s Family & Friends Restaurant and Irish Pub, 42 Main Street, Senoia 30276 (770-727-3020). Then we will go to the SOUTHERN LIVING IDEA HOUSE & take the tour of the Historic Farmhouse Renovation. The house will be decorated for the holidays! Tour tickets are $12. December 17, 2012; Monday; 6:30 pm ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY This year we’re trying something a little different and asking all the local collegiate sorority girls and recent grads to come to the party! Please help us spread the word! We’ll have a “Tacky Christmas Sweater” contest (with a prize!), so if you have a “tacky” sweater, wear it! We’ll also do that annual favorite – the rousing gift exchange – so be sure to bring a new, wrapped holiday-themed decoration/ornament/gift to swap. And please bring heavy hors d’oeuvres or dessert to share. Beverages will be provided! January 17, 2013; Thursday, 6:30pm 2nd Annual “GAME NIGHT” Play for fun and philanthropy; proceeds go to Coweta County Humane Society! Place: The home of Joanna Webster, Kappa Delta), 275 Arbor Springs Plantation Drive, Newnan, 30265. We’ll play QUIZ BOWL, it’s like Jeopardy! except it’s played in teams with buzzers that light up w/the correct answer. Team with the most points wins a prize. We’ll also play a fun, fast-paced card game called Left, Right, Center. Bring finger food to share, $5 cash (we’ll split it between the Humane Society and the game prize purse), along with a bag of dry dog or cat food. Sodas/spirits provided. The program is "Greek Girls on the Go!” highlighting some of our local sorority stars, including a young entrepreneur with her own nationwide business. Hosted by GAMMA PHI BETA, our founding sorority. Refreshments provided. March 4, 2013; Monday; 7:00pm NPC BADGE DAY! All sorority women everywhere celebrate their Greek affiliations by wearing their badge or letters. Wear yours with pride today! We will hold our pay-as-you-go 3rd annual Badge Day dinner at Ted’s Montana Grill, 314 City Circle, The Avenue, PTC, (678) 829-0272. APRIL 2013 – dates to be announced: Elections May 19th, 2013; Sunday; 1:00pm 7th Annual “AFTERNOON WITH ATHENA” Sorority Information Session. Place: The beautiful Phi Mu Fraternity National HQ, 400 Westpark Dr, PTC. Join us for our annual Sorority Info Session, open to ALL area high school senior girls, esp those unsure about recruitment & their parents! Our keynote speaker is Heidie Lindsey, Associate Director, Fraternity & Sorority Life at Mississippi State University. This year we are including a section about conversation skills for recruitment. ALL sorority alums should attend to meet the girls in person! Help SPREAD THE WORD about this event! Junior girls are invited too.
